 Best protection, great cool factor that kids love. March 10, 2010

Buying stuff for your kids, once they start thinking they are cool, becomes difficult as a parent. OK, mine still think I'm cool, but I know that's probably going to end soon. In the meantime, I earned style and cool points when I bought each of my three boys one of these Nerf Armors for their DS/DSi units. Lucky me.
The armor is well designed and constructed. The quality is all there. The fit is very snug, so there is no concern about it coming off once it's secured. Dropping a DSi with the Nerf Armor installed virtually eliminates accidental breakage. We even did it on purpose on a hardwood and on a ceramic tile floor, just to prove the point. The kids have never asked to remove the armor, they think it looks awesome (I think so too, but obviously my opinion is irrelevant).
In short, it's a small investment to protect a nice game machine, it works as described, and it looks great while doing its job. I can't ask anything more of this product. Highly, highly recommended by me and the boys! Makes a really great gift for anyone who owns a Nintendo DSi.
Be careful! The Nerf Armor for the normal DS is different than the one for the DSi, so make sure you know which unit you are protecting before you order. Two of my kids have the normal DS so they got the Armor for it, and the third got this one for the DSi. I accidentally ordered three of the DSi Armor units, and had to exchange two for the normal DS kind. The difference is that the DSi Armor has to accommodate the camera lens not present on the DS.
Any questions send a comment. I would not order any DS unit without protecting it with this product!

The case fit my 3 year old son's DSi very well without making it too large for him to hold and play with. The problem came when I found that he got bored and decided to pull on a corner. When he did that it ripped a large chunk off. It lasted 2 days, protected the DSi from one 3 foot fall from our Honda Pilot, and we will probably buy another case when he is older.

This is an awesome accessory for the DSi. It feels great and that it may withstand a few drops to the floor. But it also helps holding it better for those little hands. And the plugs are easy to get to.

I loved the NERF ARMOR design and It protects my son's DSi perfectly! It is all adapted to the DSi features, having perfect spaces in all entries and a special protection that opens and closes for the outside camera too! I'm not afraid when it falls on the floor anymore!
